In 2003, she started her career as a child artist when she was featured in a movie, Lankesh Patrike. She then participated in a reality tv show, Halli Duniya.
Anupama made her film debut with Nagaari which was released in 2015. However, she rose to fame when she competed in the fifth season of Bigg Boss Kannada. She also worked as an anchor for the television show, Kannada Kogile.
Her other couple of television serials is Chi Sou Savitri and Akka where she played a dual role. She then went on to work in the films like Aa Karaala Ratri, Thrayambakam and Benkiyali Aralida Hoovu.
In 2019, she hosted the Kannada-language award for the 8th SIIMA (South Indian International Movie Awards) along with Vijay Raghavendra. In 2022, she entered the Bigg Boss Kannada Season 9 as a participant.
