Deepak Hooda was born on April 19, 1995 (age 28 Years) in Rohtak, Haryana, India. His father name is Jagbir Hooda and his mother name is to be updated here. He also has a brother named Ashish Hooda.

Hooda lost his mother when he was just four years old. His father also resigned in 2013 when he was studying grade 12. He went to the Kendhriya Vidyalaya to complete his schooling.

Career:

Deepak Hooda made his debut for his Baroda in the year 2012. After having good seasons in domestic cricket, he got an opportunity to represent Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2014.

He made his IPL debut against Punjab Kings and scored a quick cameo of 30 off 15. In his second game against Delhi, he smashed his maiden IPL fifty and won the man of the match as well.

In the Ranji Trophy 2016-17 season, Hooda scored his first double-century in the first class while playing for his state, Baroda. Ahead of IPL 2016, he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad and played a couple of seasons before moving to Punjab Kings in 2020.

Ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction, he was bought by KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants and has been a key player in his new franchise. He was included in India’s squad for the series against Sri Lanka in 2017 and Nidahas Trophy in 2018. However, he did not get a chance to make his international debut.

His impressive performances in the IPL for Punjab Kings helped him to make his International debut. He made his ODI debut against West Indies on 6th February 2022 and made his T20I debut in the same month against Sri Lanka.

In 2021, there was an issue between Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya while playing domestic cricket. After this incident, the right-handed batter left Baroda and moved to Rajasthan. However, they are playing together for their new IPL franchise, LSG.
