Manobala birthday was on 8 December 1953 (age 28 years) and was born in Marungoor, Tamil Nadu. Raised up in a middle-class family, he has completed his studies in Tamil Nadu.
He was married and his wife’s name was Usha Mahadevan. In February 2019, his son Harish was married to Priya in Chennai. The wedding was attended by many bigwigs from the Tamil movie industry.

Career
After moving to Chennai in the late 1970s, Manobala was interested to pursue his career in the film industry and his chance to work as an assistant director with the reference of Kamal Haasan. His first film opportunity was working as an assistant of Filmmaker Bharathiraja for the movie Puthiya Vaarpugal.
Along with the assistant director, he got an opportunity to feature in films as a junior artist and character roles. He made his debut as a director in 1982 for the film ‘Agaya Gangai‘ which lead by Karthik and Suhasini.
Then he directed several movies in the late 1980s including Pillai Nila, Dhoorathu Pachai, Moodu Manthiram, Mallu Vetti Minor, and more. Apart from Tamil, Manobala also directed movies in Kannada and Hindi languages.
He halt directing movies for a while and started concentrating on acting. He started to feature in lots of movies in the 2000s along with top filmmakers and actors of Tamil.
As of 2022, Manobala has directed 45 movies and acted in 900+ films in his career. He also produced several movies including the super hit ‘Ssathuranga Vettai’ by H. Vinoth.
