Defending champions Tamil Nadu won a thriller against Karnataka in the finals. Tamil Nadu has retained the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 by winning two consecutive years in a row.

When 5 runs are needed in the last ball, Shahrukh Khan’s heroic sixer sealed a trophy for men in yellow. By successfully chasing down 152 runs target, Tamil Nadu won by 4 wickets in the finals.

After winning the toss. Tamil Nadu skipper Vijay Shankar decided to field first against Karnataka. Karnataka has managed to score 151 runs in 20 overs with Abhinav Manohar contributing 46 Runs in 37 balls.

The tall left-arm spinner Sai Kishore from Tamil Nadu has taken 3 crucial wickets for his team. Chasing the target of 152 Runs, Tamil Nadu openers N Jagadeesan and Hari Nishanth has played critical innings on the big day.

N Jagadeesan top scorer for his team in the finals, he scored 41 runs in 46 balls. When 16 runs are needed in the last ball, Shahrukh Khan and Sai Kishore are at the crease.

Karnataka Skipper Manish Pandey handed over the ball to Prateek Jain for the final over. Sai Kishore hits a four on the first ball of the last over which took the game for 12 runs in 5 balls. When 5 runs are required in the final ball, Shahrukh Khan hits a sixer to seal a trophy for his team.
